Keys to Creativity when Leading a Remote Team

Key to creativity here is the ability to draw inspiration from your physical surroundings. A glance around the room. A look out the window.

In our virtual meetings, we may be inadvertently hampering creativity. That’s one of the findings from a recently-published study by Melanie Brucks at Columbia and Jonathan Levav at Stanford.

Want to turbocharge brainstorming in an upcoming meeting? Consider giving your team a break from the cameras and their screens for a minute. Free them from their focused gaze on the screen in front of them.

Curious for your thoughts on this. Does it make sense? Have you tried it?
